I tested the public RoamingRuru mall demo at https://roaminglulu.fraylabs.chatgpt.site/ without subscribing, emailing, or purchasing. Text interaction worked and produced a shortlist, but the recommendation did not meet the request: for a cooking-loving friend under $50, Ruru offered lululemon keychains and explicitly acknowledged they were not cooking-related. The 3D mall was unavailable in this browser because the site reported missing WebGL; Face only remained usable.
The Mall view was selected successfully, but the site displayed an alert: “The 3D mall needs WebGL. Try a browser with graphics acceleration.” It said the face and conversation still work in Face only. This is a browser/environment limitation observed during the test, not evidence that the mall simulation is universally broken.
Passed: Open the mall demo
The public demo loaded and the Mall tab could be selected. The site immediately reported that the 3D mall needs WebGL, while conversation remained available.
Passed: Send a recommendation request
Ruru accepted a typed request for a birthday gift for a cooking-loving friend under $50 and returned a response plus a two-item shortlist.
Failed: Recommendation matches the request
Ruru said it did not find a specific cooking gift under $50, then recommended lululemon keychains and noted they were not cooking-related. The shortlist also included men's T-shirts, so it did not satisfy the stated recipient, category, and budget together.
Passed: Avoid subscription or purchase
No mailing-list signup, QR flow, email request, checkout, subscription, or purchase was opened.
